Health Care Center

Comfortable, attractive, impeccably clean private or semi-private rooms offer
every convenience. All rooms have cable TV, private half-baths, individually controlled temperature, and a 2-way communications system with the nurses’ station. There are 152 private rooms and 24 doubles all with a skilled level of care.

Activities Programs

Keeping busy develops a healthier, happier attitude for recuperation. A complete range of crafts for rehabilitation, relaxation and entertainment is available to residents from the activities department. A full range of social functions takes place at Shannondale under the guidance of a full time activities director and staff. Volunteers assist in the many programs that include games, movies, watermelon and ice cream treats, card and
bingo games, sing-alongs, picnics on the grounds in an attractive outside area, plus many other seasonal events and holiday activities.

Finest Skilled Nursing Service

24-hour skilled nursing care is provided by a team of dedicated professionals under the supervision of registered nurses. Fully equipped Nurses’ Stations are located on
each floor to respond to each residents’ needs at any hour.

Pleasant Dining

A wide variety of delicious, nutritional meals are served at Shannondale. Every meal is expertly prepared on premises in a stainless steel equipped kitchen under the direction of our staff dietician. There is a dining room on each floor where residents are encouraged to dine. A cafeteria for the resident’s family and the staff is located on the first floor. In-room tray service is available. Special diets receive careful attention.

Chapel

The spiritual well-being of every person at Shannondale is a prime concern. An attractive chapel complete with organ is available for meditation. Our staff chaplains conduct services which may be attended by residents or viewed from the residents’ rooms via closed-circuit TV.

Lobby

Setting pace for a warm, friendly atmosphere at Shannondale is an attractively furnished lobby where friends and residents meet in cordial surroundings.

In-House Pharmacy

A fully equipped pharmacy with a full-time pharmacist on duty assures residents convenient access to their medication.

A staff x-ray technician is on duty for basic x-ray procedures.

An in-house beauty and barber shop, manned by professional operators, is an important asset to the wellbeing of our residents.

Physical Therapy, Speech & Occupational Therapy, General Rehabilitation Care, Full-Time Licensed Therapist & Staff

Restoring residents to their maximum level of self care is the primary function of our Physical Therapy department. Utilizing the most advanced techniques and the finest equipment, our licensed therapist administers to the individual needs of each patient. Speech and occupational therapy are also available on premises.
